or ride in a horse drawn carriages. By the looks on the faces
of the people in this carriage,
I think they were loving their tour.
We walked to Washington Mall.
Washington Street was closed to traffic so we could walk
from one side of the street to the other.
We were on our own for supper so Alan and I stopped at
this place for something to eat.
Here I am sitting and jubilantly waiting for the only thing I could eat
that was on their menu - fries!
I like the stone wall. There is a house in our town with a wall
just like this one. Someone did a lot of hard work.
We did not go back across the bay
on the ferry on our way home.
We went the northern route across the
DELAWARE MEMORIAL BRIDGE!
What a site!
I have never seen such a beautiful bridge!
It was dark so I did not get pictures.
There were lights on the bridge and a sign with a message.
It said that if you feared driving across the bridge,
there was a number to call, and they would come
and drive you across. How thoughtful of them!
It was the most beautiful crossing I have ever seen!
